OxWiChem 2026
We are delighted to announce the return of OxWiChem 2026, taking place online on Thursday 29 October 2026 and in Oxford Chemistry on Friday 30 October 2026.
OxWiChem is an annual event celebrating the vital contributions and pioneering research of women in chemistry. It brings together researchers and professionals from across academia and industry, from early-career researchers to established academics and sector leaders.
The event provides an opportunity to showcase research, exchange ideas and strengthen connections among colleagues committed to advancing equality, diversity and inclusion across the chemistry community.
Online Symposium — Thursday 29 October 2026
This year’s online symposium will feature two distinguished leaders in chemistry and chemical biology:
Rebecca Ruck: Associate Vice President at MSD and Founder of EWOC
"Carpe diem: An unexpected journey toward biocatalysis and women in chemistry"
Laura Kiessling: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Chemical Biology "Talk title to be announced"
The symposium will be held online. Colleagues based in Oxford are also welcome to attend in person in the Wolfson Seminar Room, Chemistry Research Laboratory, where refreshments will be provided.

Call for Abstracts: Abstract submissions are now open to individuals who identify as women or non-binary. Applicants are invited to submit an abstract for either: a poster presentation; or a short oral presentation on Friday, 30 October 2026.
